Women LeadersPlease be our guest as MMTC celebrates Women’s History Month at a special luncheon on March 6, 2013, from 12 noon to 2pm at National Council of Negro Women, 633 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20004.  Doors open from 11:30am to 12:15pm for networking. The theme for the luncheon:

FCC Women Leaders Past and Present
Celebrate Women’s Her-Story Month

To mark the occasion, we will feature past and present FCC women leaders, telling their incredible stories.  FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel will provide the opening story, and FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn will provide the closing story.

Featured storytellers include Deborah Lathen, Jane Mago, and Cathy Sandoval. Following the featured stories, we will invite other women to briefly tell their stories and acknowledge someone who helped them on the path to success.

We will individually acknowledge past and present women leaders of the FCC; notably, Commissioners, Bureau and Office Chiefs, Administrative Law Judges and Review Board Members, General Counsels, Chiefs of Staff, and Chief Economists.  At the close of the event, we will take a commemorative group photo to mark the historic event.  While we are individually acknowledging women in certain FCC leadership positions, we will acknowledge all FCC women as a group during the program.

Please contact us if you are a present or former FCC Woman leader and you have not received an invitation to the luncheon.

We hope you can join us as we acknowledge the women who have made, and who are continuing to make, important decisions in the communications industry.
